ACHS Activities
D117 Winter Guard
District 117's new winter guard season is about to begin! If your student has not mentioned winter guard, please share the clinic information with your them, if you think this is an activity they may be interested in!
While the three clinic dates are for potential winter guard students, we will also be having an informational meeting for parents on Wednesday November 18th at 8pm. During this meeting, we will explain what winter guard is, hand out our winter guard handbook/contract (which will have all of our guidelines, dues information and our schedule for the season), and the students will show off what they learned at our clinics!
We will take a little time to answer any questions you may have, discuss our show theme for the season, as well as reviewing different ways that parents can be involved this year.
If there is anything you would like to discuss prior to our parent meeting, please feel free to send an email (bridgette.bennett@chsd117.org) and I will get back to you in a timely manner :)
For anyone unfamiliar with color guard/winter guard, here is a short clip to introduce you to this amazing activity!
