School is not only a place for academic learning but also a space where students develop meaningful connections and a sense of belonging. When students attend regularly, they are able to fully participate in classroom experiences, collaborate with their peers, and build positive relationships with teachers and staff.

Every student contributes to the learning environment. Their ideas, participation, and presence help create a strong and supportive classroom community. When students are absent, they miss valuable opportunities to engage, share, and grow alongside others.

We encourage families to talk with their children about the importance of being present and involved each day. Attending school consistently supports both academic growth and a sense of connection that helps students feel valued and confident.

Don't miss the chance to preserve your student's middle school memories! The Northwestern Middle School yearbook is a lasting keepsake filled with special moments, friendships, achievements, and events from the school year.

Purchasing a yearbook is also a great way to support our school. Yearbook sales serve as a fundraiser, and all proceeds go directly back to our students through school programs, activities, and opportunities that enhance their educational experience.

You still have time to purchase device insurance! The due date for purchasing in September 30th. If you need to purchase after this date, a device inspection will be required. Please use this link to access more information.

Each month our PTO Hospitality Helpers spoil our staff with a luncheon and occasionally provide other surprises and plan events to lift up our staff, students and welcomed guests at our school. This year we now have a web app for parents to be able to sign up for tiny or big hospitality tasks to help out whether it be shopping, decorating, organizing or serving.

If you sign up to shop or decorate, don't forget to log back in to check off your task is complete. If you don't have time to help feel free to donate items we need to serve under Giving & Lending. When it comes to serving, there are only a few opportunities to help per month due to space, our only request is that you sign up to serve one time to allow for others to also have that chance to serve our staff. Lastly, if you own or know the owner of a restaurant, bakery or service with interest in donating a meal, treat or item to our staff please reach out to our VP of Hospitality, Tracy Drye or send us an email at nmsptohospitality@gmail.com.
