Superintendent Communication - FY27
Dear Sudbury Public Schools Community,
It is with great honor that I introduce myself as your new Interim Superintendent of Schools. Having served as the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning and the Peter Noyes Elementary School Principal in Sudbury over the last 20+ years, I am fully committed to Sudbury and deeply proud of the work we have accomplished together. I am humbled by the opportunity to lead our district this year.
Please join me in warmly welcoming Dr. Carol Cavanaugh as our new Interim Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. Dr. Cavanaugh served as Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in Hopkinton before retiring in 2025. I am excited to partner with Carol and I know you, too, will be impressed by her deep knowledge and remarkable experience in public education.
I step into this role with a profound appreciation for the dedication of our staff, the engagement of our families, and, most importantly, the potential of every student we serve. Sudbury Public Schools has long been a place where we strive to welcome, inspire, and nurture every child, and my commitment is to ensure that this mission remains at the heart of every decision we make.
As we look ahead, I am eager to continue our collective efforts to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Our schools are truly the center of this community, and I believe that our strength lies in our partnership. I am committed to maintaining open lines of communication, listening to your feedback, and working collaboratively to address the challenges and opportunities that lie before us.
My goal is to build upon the strong foundation we have established, ensuring that we remain focused on high-quality instruction and student growth and achievement. Whether it is refining how we approach technology in the classroom, supporting our diverse learners, or continuing to foster a sense of belonging for all, I am ready to engage in this vital work alongside all of you.
I look forward to meeting with many of you in the coming weeks and months. Thank you for your support, your commitment to our students, and for making Sudbury such a vibrant community of learning.
With gratitude,
Annette Doyle, Interim Superintendent
