Hi-ho, Hi-ho.... It's off to the zoo we go!!!! Each of our classes is going to the zoo on a field trip next week. Look below for all the information and to find out which day your child is going. Please make sure your child is on time, dressed for the weather, and has a lunch if you did not sign up for one from our cafeteria.

Come out and cheer on the kids while helping make it the most fun color run for them!

We will need lots of help at the color throwing stations! The more the merrier!!

If you would like to volunteer to help with field day, it is on May 24th, with a rain date of May 28th. If your license has NOT been scanned to be a volunteer, please come to Door 1 at the ELC by Wednesday May 17th to get your ID scanned.

Field Day is scheduled as follows:

AM: 9-11 Boyle, Metz, Swartz, Kelly, Helminski, & Swims

PM: 12:30-2:30 Buckley, Gruhlke, VanMilligan, Rosenbaum, & Lucas.

Congratulations to our friends that participated in the read-a-thon for Lake County Public Library! You all ROCK! Way to go to our kindergarten and preschool friends who took part in the fundraiser.

Kiddos were given playdoh and a cup of accessories to create their own bugs. They had pipe cleaners, buttons, googly eyes, confetti, and pom-poms! They were all so excited to create whatever they wanted and they all turned out SO CUTE!!!!!

While there is tons of fun happening as the school year comes to an end... there is still a lot of learning going on too! Here are the learning goals to be working towards as this Quarter 4 comes to a close.

Thank you to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation!!!!! The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation launched the TFT Literacy Program in 2008. Our Program is a year-round initiative to support children in need across our Nation. The Program offers our Nation’s most precious resource – our children – the ability to compete academically and to succeed in life by providing them direct access to books and educational resources that enhance their ability to read and communicate effectively. This Program brings the joy of reading to these children and serves as an important tool in breaking the cycle of poverty. The TFT Literacy Program distributed 4.1 million books in 2023 and has distributed over 57 million books to disadvantaged children since the Program’s inception. Our school was the lucky recipient of books from this amazing charity and EVERY SINGLE KINDERGARTENER will come home with a brand new hard cover book from their donation for their at home libraries!!!!!
