Superintendent Update
Windham School District | November

Friday, March 15, 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians:
On behalf of our district and building administrators, teachers, staff, and students, thank you. We continue to be in awe of the community’s ongoing support of our schools. Because of your support, the proposed FY25 Budget, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the WEA, and all warrant articles passed. Our students, staff, and community will continue to benefit from our united effort to provide the best educational experience in our schools. Below are some additional district highlights from the week.
Kids Vote: We had an amazing turnout this year, with over 600 votes collected from grades K-12! I am so proud of all of the students who came out to express their voices and vote. I want to thank our administrators for volunteering their time, especially WCS Principal, BJ Martin, for her help in organizing this special event. Also, thank you to the numerous student volunteers throughout the day who helped make the day successful.
Congratulations, School Board Members: We are happy to announce that incumbent School Board members Cynthia Finn and Shannon Ulery were elected to serve an additional three-year term on the Windham School Board. We look forward to our continued efforts to serve our staff, students and community together.
Join our Team: With the budget passing, we are able to offer additional job opportunities for the 2024-25 school year to support our students. If you are interested or know someone who would be a great candidate, please visit our website to view the available opportunities.
Windham Voyager Podcast: On this episode of the Windham Voyager, we invite Mrs. O’Brien into the studio to discuss the high school’s upcoming spring musical, Les Misérables. Make sure to listen until the end to hear a sneak peek of the production! The musical will be held in the high school auditorium on March 21-24. Tickets will be sold at the door: $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for seniors and students.
Wishing you a fun and charm-filled weekend!
