Failure to submit a transfer request in a timely manner will result in your student returning to their home campus. Attendance Matters
We will be targeting our attendance rate this year to ensure that our students are in class everyday learning and growing. Absences not only affect a child's education, but it can also impact their social emotional needs. Absences also impact district funding resulting in a loss of programs and personnel.
Our campus goal is 97%, and we know that we achieve this goal together. Students have been provided with an attendance tracker to help keep track of their own attendance throughout the year. Weekly, monthly and quarterly incentives will be provided to all students with perfect attendance. Please note that illnesses and emergencies will be excused with the proper documentation. Notes may be emailed to attendancerojas@sisd.net. For extenuating circumstances, please contact Mrs. Baez, Attendance Administrator, at (915) 937-8500.
After School Tutoring Bus Routes
Bus routes for after school tutoring can be found below. Please note that there is only one bus for all routes.
2024-2025 Dismissal Procedures
Our campus has two dismissal times for different grade levels. This is to help ease the traffic congestion that would build up if we had all students dismissing at the same time. We ask that you adhere to the dismissal procedures in order to ensure that we have a quick, efficient and SAFE dismissal for all. As a reference for all parents, our dismissal takes exactly 15 minutes from the time the dismissal bell rings until the last student is loaded. Please review the procedures below.
Bauman Road Holding Zone
PreK and Kinder students will be allowed to form a line on the dirt road closest to the street for the 2:45pm dismissal. Early bird parents waiting for the 3:15pm pickup may form a second line next to the PK and Kinder Vehicles.
The second line should begin after Anaheim Ln to ensure that there is enough room for all vehicles. After the 2:45pm pickup line is allowed to enter into the parking lot, early arrivers may move into the lane to begin forming the 3:15pm line. Please review pictures.
Pick Up Cards
All vehicles using the pick up zone will need to have their student pick up card displayed in the window. Once your child is in the vehicle, please remove the card from the window, so we know you are ready to exit.
Drive Up Procedures
As you drive up to the student area, we ask that you remain in your vehicle. School staff is available to help load students into cars. Do not leave your vehicle unattended. Once your child is loaded, you may exit your vehicle to help buckle in your student. Staff will not secure any seatbelts for liability purposes. Once your child is securely strapped in, we ask that you exit the parking lot.
No Parking
Parents will not be allowed to park inside the parking lot during dismissal times. We are seeing an increased number of vehicles parking in the parking lot and cutting in front of other vehicles. This is not allowed out of fairness to everyone. We have timed our procedures and it takes five minutes from the time a vehicle enters the parking lot, to the time we load students. Please help us keep the system running efficiently. Please note that the fire department conducts random inspections to ensure that the area is safe. Violators will be cited.
Interested in Becoming a Volunteer?
Are you interested in serving your community as a volunteer? We are currently receiving applications for parent volunteers. Your assistance is vital to the success of the campus. Parents may assist in a variety of ways. Please note that volunteer hours are REQUIRED for any parent who may be invited to class field trips. All volunteers are required to complete a background check to begin volunteering at the campus. Please contact Mrs. Cristina Hernandez, Parent Liaison, if you are interested in helping with any of our current projects.
