Hold On Tight!!!
Well the last few weeks have been a blur and the days ahead will be more of the same! So hold on tight! I am struggling to get all the pics posted, but promise they are coming.
REMINDER WE ARE IN SESSION TOMORROW MONDAY 5/18!
I want to express with much gratitude my appreciation for another wonderful school year. We've had a truly productive year with tons of growth and forward movement. The relationship between home and school is crucial to the success of a district. We are blessed here at Smithton with parent support and hope you know the impact you have and how appreciated you are.
While the ending of a school year is always bittersweet, I am already ecstatic about what the 26-27 school year holds!
We're Loving It!
The Final Count Down!

MAP INCENTIVE TRIP πΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌ
We will be heading to The Wheel Thing Skating Center in Sedalia with students that earned 80% of their participation points during MAP testing. The points earned were based on the use of time and following directions. Students may bring money for concessions but it's not necessary. We are proud of those that met testing expectations as we have worked all year long on teaching those and establishing them as the norm of performance. Our 3rd and 4th grade students will begin their day skating from 8:30-10:30 and then our 5/6 group will go over from 12:00-2:00. We plan to take some board and card games to set up in the concession area for anyone not comfortable with skating. We look forward to a great day!

A HUGE SHOUT OUT!
Over the course of the last three years the elementary Student Council have raised funds to update the little courtyard in the center of our Elementary. This project began thanks to a generous donation from the class of 1974, who during a school tour recognized the potential for this space. A huge thanks to Jake Gieschen for taking care of some of the ground work, Dustin Ray for building the tables, and Ms. Roscher for sponsoring our student council and leading these endeavors. This will be such a wonderful out door learning space, lunch incentive location, and meeting space. What a great school improvement project executed by our youngest leaders! Way to go Tigers! Don't worry a few of us tested it out just to make sure it passed inspection! ππ
