CME PTO Weekly

Get ready to celebrate Halloween at CME tomorrow! You can send your child to school in their costume, and then stick around to watch a parade around the school (indoors if it’s freezing), starting at 9:30. Class parties will follow, likely from 9:45-10:45, and your teacher will send out more details soon. Please be available to help your child out of their costume after the party, or make sure that they can do it themselves. We can’t wait to see everybody dressed up!!

We hope you’ll join us for our next PTO meeting, after drop off in the cafeteria, on November 4th!

Tickets are on sale now for the Son Event on November 7th! We will be welcoming Nerf Turf to Copper Mesa, a company that facilitates fun and safe nerf wars inside the school, from 4-6pm. Tickets are $20 for the first son/parent pair, and $10 per additional son or parent. Boys must be 5 years old to participate. There will be a food truck to enjoy afterwards, if you’d like to stay and hang a little longer (we are working on selecting a good one!). Tickets are now available via MySchoolBucks (click HERE)!

Have you ever attended a SAC (School Accountability Committee) Meeting before? The next meeting should be the one you try! On Monday, 11/9, we will meet at 4:00pm in the library. We will discuss all things related to the school. And we have snacks!

If you haven't met Brooke Kerzic, a local Firelight neighbor, yet - you need to! She runs a small boutique out of her basement, called Suburban Girl Boutique, and she has offered to host a private shopping party for 30 CME parents, and even donate 10% of the proceeds back to the PTO! She has such cute pieces, and an incredible eye for style, so she can keep you find what will look great on you for the upcoming holiday events, or help you find the perfect gift for someone else! Since the party will take place in her home, we will limit it to 30 people, so RSVP HERE if you want to join us on November 12th, from 5-8pm. Nibbles and drinks will be supplied, and so much fun and fashion will be had!

If you need a unique gift idea for a Chick-Fil-A lover in your life, we are trying a new fundraiser this year! You can grab one of these calendars for $15, with $40 worth of coupons inside - you get a QR code for something FREE each month! We will be selling these through January, and they won’t even go on sale to the public until November, so grab one early! You can purchase HERE and we will email you when they have arrived for pickup in the office. Happy Chick-Fil-A-ing!

If your child didn't earn a CME Squishy Cube during the fundraiser, don't worry, we have extras - and they're only $5! Click HERE to purchase and we will deliver to your child's classroom!

Got a knack for party planning? Love reaching out to local businesses? Looking to get your hands dirty (We know for a fact there are some interested dads out there!)?

We are always looking for volunteers for Teacher/Staff Appreciation, our Daughter Event, our Son Event, School Beautification, our Spring Fundraiser, etc. If you would like to volunteer with PTO in any way, please let us know.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

Sign up to volunteer HERE . Please direct any questions about the program to Jeff Stebel, (303) 880-8224, jeffrey.stebel@gmail.com

COPPER MESA YEARBOOK

Help us create a memorable yearbook by sharing your pictures with our yearbook committee. This can be at school events, spirit rock, class parties, class field trips, school clubs, etc. Please email photos to coppermesayearbook@gmail.com and include your child’s name and teacher.

KING SOOPERS CARDS

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.
