Tree Lighting on The Square
We're excited to have several students participating in the annual tree lighting in Downtown Decatur! The fun starts at 6 p.m. with holiday carols and hot cocoa by the tree on the Decatur Square. At 7 p.m. sharp, Santa himself flips the switch to light the tree! Afterwards, there'll be "snow"! This event is sponsored by the Little Shop of Stories. The event is free and family-friendly. Hope to see you there.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
Thank you for helping make our arrival and dismissal routines run smoothly! A couple of important reminders:
Car riders must be dropped off and picked up on Oakview Road. For the safety of our students, we ask that you refrain from using the front of the school for car rider drop-off or pick-up.
U-turns on Oakview are only allowed at the second loop.
Following these guidelines helps ensure the safety of all our students. We appreciate your cooperation!

🎁🐾 Bulldog Fans — Get Ready for Our First Annual Toy Toss! 🐾🎁
This holiday season, our Decatur Bulldogs are teaming up to support Toys for Tots, and we need your help to make our First Annual Toy Toss a huge success!
Join us at the Basketball Game on December 5 and bring a new plush toy to donate. Every CSD Elementary student who brings a toy will receive FREE admission with a paying adult! The JV game tips off at 5 PM.
Then get ready for the highlight of the night: In between games, fans will toss their donated toys onto the court, where our players and cheerleaders will collect them and prepare them for delivery to Toys for Tots. It’s a fun, festive way to give back and show what Bulldog spirit is all about!
Let’s pack the stands, support our teams, and spread holiday cheer across our community. Go Bulldogs!

Staff Wellness 🧘🧘
Help Us Create a Zen Space at F.Ave!
We are working on creating a relaxing “Zen Space” at F.Ave for staff to unwind, reset, and recharge. We are seeking donations of calming items such as massage chairs, tabletop fountains, aromatherapy diffusers, soft lighting, cozy seating, and other items that promote relaxation.
If you have something to donate or would like to contribute, please contact Erica Bacher at ecarlin31@gmail.com. Together, we can create a peaceful space for our school community!
Yoga at F.Ave had its first session on Monday, November 10, at 3:15 in the music room. The after class vibe was warm and blissful, and the teachers in attendance shared their gratitude! Yoga teachers from the Atlanta Healing Collective will be providing up to 2 classes per month on site for staff going forward.
