Parkview High School

A note from Mr. Smith, the Parkview Principal
Welcome back, students!
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Parkview High School. We are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and opportunity together. Each new school year brings a fresh start, and we are proud to welcome both our returning students and those joining us for the first time.
At Parkview, you are part of a strong tradition built on pride, excellence, and community. Thousands of students have walked through these halls before you, and now it is your turn to make your mark. Your voice, your energy, your behavior, and your presence all contribute to the story of Parkview. Whether you are beginning your journey as a freshman or preparing for graduation as a senior, you play an important role in shaping this year.
We encourage all students and families to get involved and stay connected. With over 100 sports teams, clubs, and student organizations, there are countless ways to discover your interests and build lasting relationships. Being involved is one of the best ways to make your high school experience meaningful and memorable.
As we begin this new year, let’s continue to uphold the Tradition, Pride, and Success that make Parkview such a special place.
Let’s make it a great year!

2026-2027 Parent/Student To Do List
- Update your student's personal and emergency contact information online in the parent portal under my account.
- If updating your student's address, you will need to upload an updated lease or mortgage statement along with a bill to your ParentVue account. Please email Ms. Murray with any questions at: heather.murray@gcpsk12.org or if you have a residency affidavit, please call the registrar for an appointment. For accepted documents please see the Required Documents section.
- GCPS Transportation uses the address that is on file in your ParentVue to assign busses, so we must have your correct address on file. Bus Transportation information, including student bus numbers and estimated pick up and drop off times can be found in the ParentVue or StudentVue App under Student Info.
- If you have moved and no longer live in the Parkview attendance district, please contact the school so your student can be withdrawn and enrolled in their new school.
- If your student has specific medical needs, visit the clinic page on our website and click on medical forms. Complete the form you need and email it to renee.jansma@gcpsk12.org.
- If your student is planning on eating school lunch, please make sure you have added funds to their School Nutrition Account through MyPayments Plus or you have filled out the application for Free/Reduced Lunch (available July 22, 2026).
- If your student is planning on trying out for or joining any of our athletic teams please make sure to have all of the required documents uploaded and signed on Rank One. GCPS uses Rank One for physical forms and eligibility requirements. Click here for instructions on getting started with Rank One.
