Tambark Creek Principal Newsletter
November 2025
Tambark Creek Elementary principal newsletter.
From the Principal’s Desk – November 2025
Dear Tambark Creek Families,
I hope this message finds you well! Thank you to all who attended your child’s conference this week. These meetings are an important part of your child’s educational journey. Partnering with your child’s teacher helps ensure that we are supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth. I truly enjoyed visiting several conferences and appreciate the time, care, and dedication our families put into supporting their children’s learning.
As a reminder, students should be in their teacher’s line in the undercover area NO LATER THAN 9:10 a.m. each morning. Please allow extra time in the morning to help your child arrive on time—consistent attendance is essential to their success and growth.
We have also noticed some students riding electric scooters to school. Please know that electric scooters and bikes are not permitted on campus, and that students riding bicycles must wear helmets for safety.
Looking ahead, there will be no school on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day, and no school from November 26th through November 28th for Thanksgiving Break.
I wish all of our families a joyful and restful Thanksgiving holiday. May this time be filled with family, friends, and meaningful memories.
Warmly,
Mrs. O'Connor-Weaver
From the Counselors
Kelso’s Choices (from the Kelso’s Choice Conflict Management Curriculum) is a tool we use to help students solve small problems. This month Nicole Eells had the pleasure of teaching our Kindergarten students Kelso’s choices for the first time!
Students learned:
- The difference between a “small” problem (annoying) and a “big” (dangerous/hurtful) problem.
- They are smart enough to solve small problems themselves.
- When the problem is big it is important to ask an adult for help.
Kelso the Frog teaches students nine strategies for how to solve problems (as depicted in the picture.) They learn that if they try two choices and neither works, to ask an adult for help. All our students are encouraged to use these ideas to solve small problems (especially at recess.) Please use the picture to reinforce these Kelso’s Choices at home.
Thank you,
