A MESSAGE TO STUDENTS FROM DR. WILLIAMSON
Dear BHS Students,
As you know, Principal Galante has stepped down from her role as principal of BHS. While the district begins the process of selecting a new principal, I will be serving as your Principal for the remainder of the year.
Some of you may have seen me around this fall as I visited BHS in my role as Assistant Superintendent. I also spent seven years as a school principal in other districts. I worked closely with Principal Galante throughout this year, so I’m already familiar with our school’s routines, goals, and the many strengths that make this community special.
What does this mean for you?
Your classes, activities, and daily routines will continue as usual.
Your teachers and staff remain here to support you every day.
Our expectations and school culture will stay consistent.
I’m looking forward to being present in the building, getting to know more of you, and making sure our school continues to feel safe, welcoming, and focused on learning. I am planning some opportunities for us to connect, and I will share those in the upcoming weeks.
If you have questions, ideas, or concerns, please reach out. Your voice matters, and I want to hear from you.
Thank you for continuing to support one another and for all you contribute to our school community.
Warmly,
Dr. Williamson

Caregiver Night Out
The Bedford SEPAC is hosting a Caregiver Night Out at Pinot’s Palette on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM. This event offers caregivers a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy a creative evening together. There is a suggested $25 participant fee (not required), which helps support the event. No one will be excluded due to cost—the SEPAC is sponsoring this event. The fee helps offset the total cost. All caregivers are welcome, and no prior painting experience is needed.

The Citgo Sign- 2025 by Sean Hagan
Mixed media on Wood panel
16.5" x 20.5"
Framed
This work explores the layered identity of the modern city—how place is shaped as much by memory, movement, and corporate presence as by its physical streets. The Citgo sign, an unmistakable Boston landmark, rises as both beacon and interruption: a symbol of navigation, commerce, and familiarity that anchors personal experience within a constantly shifting environment. Through a process of layering paint, printed imagery, and map-like linework, I juxtapose structure and erosion. The underlying street grid suggests movement, routines, and unseen histories, while expressive fields of red and blue introduce emotional tension—energy, conflict, and vitality embedded in urban life.

When Your Child Is Sick...
Please keep your student home from school if any one of the following occurs:
- Vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours.
- Temperature of 100 degrees F or higher within the last 24 hours, without fever-reducing medication.
- Positive throat culture for strep. Students may return 24 hours after antibiotic treatment has begun.
- Any moderate to severe symptoms of acute illness, such as a persistent cough, runny nose with body aches.
Hand washing is the most effective means of preventing the spread of communicable illnesses.
If Your Student Gets Sick at School, they should come to the health office to see the nurse. If your student calls a parent/guardian to be picked up and the student has not been evaluated in the health office, it will be considered a parent dismissal, and is not exempt.
