Myers Families,

Welcome to the start of the second nine weeks! I hope everyone had a restful Fall Break and enjoyed spending quality time with family. Our campus is recharged, excited, and ready to soar into this next chapter of the school year.

Looking back at our first nine weeks, I am incredibly proud of the growth, dedication, and Eagle Pride our students have shown every day. That success is a direct result of the strong partnership between our school and your homes. As we dive into this new quarter, our focus remains on encouraging every student to reach higher, stay focused, and believe in their ability to achieve great things.

🗓️ Mark Your Calendars: Upcoming Events

• Trunk or Treat | Thursday, October 29th (Starts at 5:30 PM):

  Get ready for an evening of community fun! Bring your family out to enjoy decorated trunks, sweet treats, and great company. We can’t wait to see our young Eagles in their festive spirits!

• Storybook Character Dress-Up Day | Friday, October 30th:

  We are bringing literacy to life! Students are invited to dress as their favorite book character. To keep things safe and focused on learning, please make sure costumes are school-friendly (no toy weapons or full-face masks) and that students bring along the book—or a photo of the book—that inspired their costume.

Thank you for your continuous support, energy, and commitment to our school community. Together, we are going to make these next nine weeks inspiring and memorable for every child.

As part of a district library modernization project, unfortunately our library will need to be closed until December. Don't worry because Mrs. Cantu will continue library lessons, and ensuring students have access to our Myers literature.

We are excited to see how our Library will look soon!

Northside ISD continues to ask you to make your child's attendance a priority. Research shows that school attendance leads to future success and brings numerous benefits to students, including higher academic achievements.

Just a few reminders as we get back into the swing of the new school year:

• You must have your ID to come into the school. All parents must check in at the front office through our Raptor system. This is for the safety of your child and all the children at Myers.
• School hours are 7:40a until 3:00p.
• At 7:45a, we ask all parents to please say your "see you laters" and kindly exit the building. We do begin checking all exterior doors at 7:45am to ensure they are secure for student and staff safety.
• Please ensure your child's teacher knows how your child goes home on the first day. This is SUPER important!
