Week 31
April 10, 2026
The Book Fair Is Coming!
Checkout our Scholastic Book Fair website to learn more.
Our goal is that every student comes home with a book.
However, we know that not everyone can afford that. Are you willing to buy a book for a student? Through Scholastic's Share the Fair program, you can do just that! Donations of any amount go directly toward purchasing books for students who may not otherwise be able to participate. Thank you for helping us share the joy of reading with all of our Tigers!
If you would like to volunteer, please email mjoaquin@barrington220org.

Help us with our Mural
Sunny Hill is in the process of a community engagement project. We already completed the first two phases--voting on heroes to have on the wall, finalizing those choices in person, and selecting relevant quotes. The final phase before installation happens on April 14! Please join us at 8:15am to meet with the artist to provide feedback on the mockups!

Substitute PARAS and Teachers Needed at Sunny Hill
Did you know that you can be a substitute teacher aide (paraprofessional) with just a high school diploma?
Have you considered being a substitute teacher at Sunny Hill?!? You can get a temporary substitute certificate with just 60 college credits. We could use you!
We pay $135/day. Email mshore@barrington220.org with questions, and if you do apply, please email Principal Bradburn at abradburn@barrington220.org to let us know to look for your application!
💡 Parent Moves: Planning Ahead 💡
Sometimes our little ones have really no idea how long things take. Help them have a sense of how long it takes them to shower, get ready, clean up, empty the dishwasher... Then, they can start to manage their time differently and plan ahead.
Have you used a timer or clock with your little one?
Talk to your little one about courage
The guides below help you have great family conversations about courage. If we don't talk about this at home, our little ones may not know that you value it and see how courage has helped your life. One way to think about Courage is “choosing what is helpful, right, and kind even when it is hard or scary.” Courage can look a little different for everyone.
