Respect, Responsibility and Resourcefulness
Prayer for in honor of today's Patron Saint - St. Francis Borgia
Saint Francis followed you and didn’t care about being important.
Help us follow you like he did, so we can be with you and Saint Francis in heaven forever.
Amen.
🏃 Jog-a-thon Countdown: One Week to Go!
The Sister Incarnation Memorial Jog-a-thon is Friday, October 16, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kibbie Dome, and this is the final week to collect pledges! Pledges can be made online at stmarysmoscow.schoolauction.net/jog2026. We hope every family can stop by for an hour to cheer on our students!
Win a Two-Night Stay at The Coeur d’Alene Resort!
The family that raises the most in pledges will win a two-night family stay at The Coeur d’Alene Resort! Every pledge counts, so keep spreading the word to family and friends!
Last Jog Shop: Friday, October 16
Next Friday is the final Jog Shop! Please send your child’s pledge sheet to school by Thursday,
October 15. Our Preschool and Pre-K students will shop at a special time on Friday, so please be sure their sheets are turned in so they don’t miss out. We’ve had lots of shoppers so far. Keep up the great work!
Jog Shirts Are Coming Home
Students will bring home their Jog-a-thon shirts next week. They’re welcome to wear them to the jog, and the shirts are theirs to keep!
Watch Your Inbox: Important Jog Day Email Coming Next Week
Next week we’ll send a detailed email with everything you need for jog day: where to park, which entrance to use at the Kibbie Dome, how student check-in and check-out will work, and how to sign up as a volunteer. Please watch for it and read it carefully. We’ll need lots of parent volunteers to make the day a success!
Expecting an Online Pledge?
Online pledges are being emailed to families as they come in. We have a few online pledges that didn’t name a specific student. If your child is in Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, or 3rd grade and you’re expecting an online pledge but haven’t received an email about it, please contact fundraisers@stmarysmoscow.org.
Thank you for supporting this special St. Mary’s tradition. See you at the Dome!

Trustworthiness
A quick reminder that this month we’re focusing on trustworthiness: telling the truth, keeping promises, and doing what’s right even when no one is watching. As Jesus tells us, “the person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones” (Luke 16:10).
This week, try catching your child being trustworthy and naming it out loud: “Thank you for being honest. That helps me trust you.” Small moments like these build big habits.
And as we pray the Rosary this month, we look to Mary, whose faithful “yes” shows us what a trustworthy heart looks like.
👕 Uniform Exchange: Donations Needed!
Our uniform exchange is running low! If your child has outgrown any St. Mary's uniform pieces, please pass them on to another family. Cooler weather is coming, so sweaters, cardigans and long pants are especially welcome.
To donate: Drop off clean uniform items in good condition at the front office any school day.
Thank you for helping our school families. Your hand-me-downs make a real difference!

St. Mary's Music Program Updates
Dear Saint Mary’s Parents,
Our musical year is off to a great start! Students in our Middle School Band and our brand-new Bucket Drumline (3rd and 4th grade) have been working hard to prepare for our upcoming performance in the University of Idaho Homecoming Parade!
In addition to this fun community event, we have a number of exciting performances and community events planned for the year ahead, in which students will be able to showcase St. Mary’s School to the community, especially our thriving music program.
Join the St. Mary’s School Choir!
We invite students to lift their voices and join our school choir! Choir members help lead the music at our school Masses, a wonderful way to serve our community and grow in faith. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at lunch and Friday mornings before Mass. No experience needed, just a willingness to sing! Please email Mrs. Fairbanks (cfairbanks@stmarysmoscow.org).
Please mark the following dates on your calendars now:
Saturday, October 24: University of Idaho Homecoming Parade
- Students in place by 9:00 a.m.; parade begins at 10:00 a.m.

- All students in Grades 3–7 are expected to participate and represent St. Mary’s School to the community. If your student is unable to attend (for example, if they are marching with another organization in the parade), please let Mrs. Fairbanks know by filling out this form: University of Idaho Homecoming Parade Absence
