Week of April 19th, 2026
Week Twenty-nine Notes
As we move into April, our 3rd & 4th grade students will begin participating in state assessments, an important opportunity for them to demonstrate the growth and learning they’ve achieved throughout the year. We are proud of the hard work they’ve put in and are confident in their ability to do their best. Our staff has been intentional in creating a calm, supportive environment to help students feel comfortable and prepared. You can support your child by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day. Thank you for your continued partnership in helping our students feel confident and ready to shine!
With Viking Pride,
Mrs. Love
The AP Connection
Note from Mr. Briggs
As we head into spring, we know students are feeling a little more energy and excitement in their day. It’s a great time to remind everyone of our Viking Value of making wise choices. We’re continuing to talk with students about how their decisions impact themselves and others, both in and out of the classroom. We’ve also been recognizing students who are consistently doing the right thing. We appreciate your continued support in helping keep our school a positive place for everyone.
Some students were rewarded with eating donuts with Officer Gore for making wise choices. In April, we will celebrate with popsicles with Mrs. Love!
Go Vikings!

Dundee Community Schools has provided you with the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The Infinite Campus Parent Portal allows you to have real-time access to announcements, attendance, report cards and more. When creating your Campus Parent portal account, please keep in mind the following:
• Each parent/guardian should have their own separate portal account. It is not recommended to share an account. • Do not share your account information with your student. Each student has their own unique Campus Student portal account.
• Create your own unique username. Please DO NOT use your student's ID number or network login.
• Enter a password until at least the indicator for the password turns green and says 100%.
• Please know that there is an app available for Infinite Campus in the Apple App and Google Play stores.
• Please bookmark this site for easy access https://dundeemi.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/dundee.jsp

How to add money to your child's food service account:
Mental Health Matters
Elementary students need about 9–12 hours of sleep each night. When children get enough sleep, they are more likely to:
Focus better in school
Manage big feelings more easily
Solve problems and learn new skills
Simple Bedtime Tips for Families
A few small routines can make a big difference in helping children get restful sleep.
Create a consistent bedtime routine:
Brush teeth
Read a short story
Get into bed at the same time each night
Other helpful tips:
Turn off screens 60 minutes before bedtime
Keep bedtime routines calm and predictable
Use soft lighting or a night light if needed
Encourage quiet activities before bed (reading, drawing, puzzles)
A consistent routine helps children’s brains learn that it is time to relax and get ready for sleep.
Try This Question Tonight
Ask your child at bedtime:
“What was one good thing that happened today?”
Ending the day with a positive thought helps children feel calm, safe, and ready for sleep.
Please reach out if you are in need of additional support.
