RMPA Newsletter #8
March 3rd, 2026
Letter from the Board of Directors
Congratulations to all the groups who performed at Lakewood last weekend! It was our biggest show so far, and all groups performed exceptionally well!
We are now into March, and exactly one month away from wrapping up the 2026 RMPA season. If you've attended the last couple shows, you've gotten an Overview tape from Mike Nevin, who will also be judging Music next week at Legacy. He took the time to write a review of last weeks show as well as some thoughts and suggestions based on his observations of the circuit as a whole so far. Also included this week is a really helpful article from RMPA Vice President Scott Wilson on how to prioritize and implement changes down the final stretch of the season, and a collection of links.
Best of luck to all the performers and staff as you take the floor for the Legacy show this coming weekend!
Colin Spear
President, RMPA Board of Directors

He was also a member of Holy Bass with The Cadets Drum Corps. As an instructor, Scott has worked with Arvada High School, Centaurus Winter Percussion, and The Blue Knights.
