Cybersecurity Reminder: Beware of Fake Job Offers
WHS is reminding students and families to be alert for fake job opportunities sent by email or online. Scammers may ask students to complete a Google Form, provide banking information, deposit a check, or purchase items using funds they receive.
Please remember:
- WHS will never send a scanned check for students to deposit or use to purchase supplies.
- WHS will never request banking information through email, text, or a Google Form.
- A check may appear as available funds before the bank determines it is fraudulent.
This is also a reminder to take cybersecurity seriously. Security measures such as Duo multi-factor authentication help protect our school accounts and information.

College Application Week is part of College GO! And is a national initiative of the American College Application Campaign (ACAC). The goal is to help high school seniors navigate the college admissions process and ensure each student submits at least one admissions application.

TalkingPoints-Family Communication
Westfield Washington Schools use a program called TalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
