Friday Updates

Dear SHS Families,

One of my intentions throughout this week has been to have successful conferences. I have asked that the Holy Spirit give the grace to have meaningful conversations, and that those conversations yield good fruit directed towards the learning and formation of the students at this school. I want to thank you all for giving us your time, and we look forward to your continued teamwork as we journey through the rest of the year.

I also want to thank all who attended the sessions that reviewed our plan for security upgrades in the building during the teachers’ dinner break. Know that the informational boards that detail the specs of the three projects discussed will remain by the Parish Hall doors all next week for anyone who wishes to look them over. We are excited to be beginning work here shortly.

As we look into next week, we will be having Halloween celebrations on Friday, October 30th. This year, instead of holding individual Halloween parties in classrooms, we will be having our costume parade beginning at 2:45, which will dismiss straight into Trunk or Treat beginning at 3:00. Students will participate in Trunk or Treat until they are picked up or the event ends at 4:00. For parents picking up their students but not participating in the event, you will need to park in the lot on Cedar across from the Church and walk over to the school from there.
