Band/Orchestra Registration for Incoming 6th Graders
Your 5th grade student has been introduced to all of the instruments available to study in the Scullen 6th grade band and orchestra through the Prelude Program! Families of 5th grade students interested in enrolling in band or orchestra next year need to register your student’s instrument selection with the Scullen Middle School Music staff.
The Scullen Music Department is hosting a Band and Orchestra Registration Night at Scullen Middle School on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the Scullen cafeteria.
4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. according to the schedule below:
Last Names
A to D: 4:00 p.m.
E to H: 4:30 p.m.
I to L: 5:00 p.m.
M to P: 5:30 p.m.
Q to Z: 6:00 p.m.
Families must attend this registration night for your student to be enrolled in band or orchestra.
The Scullen Music Department staff will need to confirm your student’s interest to make sure they are scheduled into the correct class for next school year. All 5th grade families can also establish an instrument rental and order the supplies needed from our preferred vendor.
We are looking forward to seeing you at registration on Wednesday, January 21. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Bread Tags
Welch will be collecting plastic bread tags to donate to SCARCE for recycling in partnership with Danielle Cares for Chairs. Plastic bread tags are those square clips commonly used to seal bags around a loaf of bread, bagels, or even produce. If you are trying to reduce your plastic use, they can be hard to avoid. Further, plastic bread tags are not recyclable in your curbside recycling bin. Therefore, millions end up in landfills each year, just adding to our disposable plastic problem. it takes about 260,000 bread tags to purchase a basic wheelchair – so every bread tag counts! We will have collection bags at Welch, so please feel free to bring yours in or send them with your child!
