Kimberly High School March 2025
Family Newsletter
March 2025
From the Principal
Dear Kimberly High School Families,
As I sat down to write this letter, I felt a deep sense of pride and gratitude for our students and staff. Each day, I’m reminded of how fortunate I am to be part of KHS. I came across a quote that served as a humble reminder of the incredible impact each of us has on one another. It’s not just chance that makes our school community stand out—it’s the people. The commitment of our staff, the determination of our students, and the support from our families are what make us exceptional. The time and effort invested beyond the classroom, the willingness to grow from challenges, and the trust we place in one another are the true foundations of what makes our school extraordinary.
During our classroom visits, I have observed a strong emphasis on clarity, collaboration, and high expectations. Teachers are focused on providing clarity throughout each lesson. Collaboration is evident as students work together, engage in meaningful discussions, and support one another’s learning. There is also a noticeable commitment to maintaining high expectations for both academic performance and behavior, creating an environment where students are challenged to reach their full potential.
A few key items happening this month…
- ACT (March 11th- juniors only)- Thank you to every student and staff member who has participated in our ACT prep program. We had record numbers this year, and the extra time and effort put in by our students is appreciated.
- Pre ACT Secure (March 18th- freshmen and sophomores only)
- KHS Theatre presents Hadestown: Teen Edition- Tickets are available on the Kimberly High School Theatre website. https://kimberlytheatre.weebly.com
- There will be a senior class meeting on March 25th to discuss end-of-year and graduation details. Afterward, I'll send out an End of Year Checklist/Letter with important dates and information leading up to graduation. We understand that senior year can be overwhelming, so feel free to reach out with any questions. I'm excited for these final months with the Class of 2025, a truly remarkable group, and I'm proud to be their principal.
Thank you for your continued support. I hope you can enjoy all the celebrations and excitement that March brings!
With Great Papermaker Pride,
Mrs. DePeau
Principal

#FOODIES
Kimberly High School's #FOODIES club and the Kimberly Culinary Competition Team recently collaborated at the Kimberly Public Library for the annual Chopped competition.
The competition was for students in grades 6 through 12 to construct a winning quesadilla recipe for three judges to evaluate on taste, creativity, presentation, use of ingredients, and overall recipe. Culinary Educator and club Advisor, Olivia Koepke, was one of the three judges along with two other members of our community. It was a great way for Kimberly High School students to give back to their community by helping the competition run smoothly and assisting younger chefs in recipe development.
In September, students from our #FOODIES club also hosted a few staff members from the Kimberly Public Library to help make how-to videos on a few different recipes for smoothies. Videos are available on the Kimberly Public Libraries Facebook page along with all their events.
