TWHS Counselor Connection
March 2026
It's hard to believe how quickly the school year is moving! This month brings important milestones for many of our students — from scholarship applications and post-secondary decisions to preparing for spring activities and end-of-year goals. Whether your student is finalizing plans after graduation or continuing to build strong habits for the months ahead, our counseling team is here to support them every step of the way.
In this newsletter, you’ll find important reminders, upcoming dates, and helpful resources to keep your family informed and prepared. March can feel busy, but it’s also a time of growth, motivation, and fresh momentum as we look toward the final stretch of the school year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your student’s counselor with any questions or concerns!

For Juniors
SAT at TWHS - March 10
ALL juniors are registered to take the SAT at TW on Tuesday, March 10! All school districts are required to administer a state-funded standardized test to all grade 11 students in the spring of the school year. Students do not need to register themselves OR pay for this test.
Students will be recieving all communication about their test location and pre-administration through their WSCLOUD email addresses. We will be offering the online test only. Students will need to bring their charged chromebook for their test day.
Students can review SAT’s Preparing for the SAT video for an idea of how the test is structured and what to expect during testing. To set up a study plan, take a practice test and review your practice test scores, visit the SAT School Day Practice and Preparation website.
All 9th, 10th and 12th grade students will have a delayed start that morning. ALL students will be expected to follow this bell schedule periods 5 - 8 that afternoon.
Consider Spring College Visits
Spring is an ideal time for juniors to begin scheduling college visits, as it allows you to observe classes, connect with admissions representatives, and get a feel for campus life before senior year becomes busy with applications and deadlines. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, explore programs of interest, and start narrowing down college options with confidence.
Tours can be scheduled through each respective college's website. Consider what to know before you go and CollegeBoard's campus visit checklist.
