Brown Elementary Update

October 3, 2025
A note from the principal
Greetings Brown Families and Caregivers,
Teachers have been busy this week in fall data meetings. We reviewed data from our fall Renaissance and SAEBRS screeners to plan for instruction and supports in literacy, math, and social emotional learning. Our conversations will inform adjustments to whole class instruction, as well as identify students in need of additional intervention support.
In the upcoming weeks, we will be reaching out to families of students who will be receiving additional support this fall. In addition, we will be mailing copies of the Renaissance screening reports to all families the week of October 21st.
Thank you all for all you do to support your child's learning at home!
In partnership,
Dr. Johanna Even
Principal
Open House Feedback
We received 137 responses to our Open House feedback survey. Grade 4 was the winner of the surprise visit from Brownie. We appreciate the thoughtfulness of your feedback and will be using the feedback to inform future family events.
PAWSitive Office Referrals
Congratulations to the students who earned PAWSitive office referrals for demonstrating our PAWS core values this week: Lucia in Ms. McGinty's class, Anni in Ms. George's class, Jamie and Ezra in Ms. Martin's class, Emma in Ms. Blake's class and Eloa in Ms. MacInnes' class.
