Dr. Hernandez' Message
Pulse Families,
As we wrap up this week, I want to take a moment to acknowledge that it has been a challenging one for many in our school community. We know that current events happening beyond our campus have impacted many students and families. Please know that my heart is always with our students, families, and our school community! As your principal, my focus remains steadfast on ensuring our school is a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for every student, while delivering a high‑quality educational program that prepares them to achieve their college and career goals and build a promising future.
Our counselors, teachers, and administrators continue to be available to support students who may be feeling overwhelmed. We encourage students to reach out to a trusted adult if they need support, and families to contact us if additional assistance is needed.
Next week is the final week of the month, when we traditionally meet with staff and families—and, new this semester, our students. I invite you to join me with your questions, ideas, and suggestions!

🩺 Real-World Learning in Action! 🩺
Our Health Science Pathway students recently participated in powerful, hands-on medical simulations that allowed them to step into real healthcare scenarios and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
During these simulations, students practiced:
Caring for deep and complex wounds
Responding to a child experiencing anaphylactic shock
Assisting with the delivery of a baby
These immersive experiences challenged students to think critically, work as a team, and demonstrate compassion under pressure—essential skills for future healthcare professionals. Opportunities like these bring classroom learning to life and prepare our students for careers in the medical field and beyond.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their focus, professionalism, and commitment to learning, and grateful to our Health Science teachers for creating such impactful learning experiences.
