A Note from Mrs. Mathe
Hello, returning and new to Hines families!
I hope you are all having a wonderful summer filled with laughter, relaxation, and quality time together. One of the greatest reminders I can share is that we only get a limited number of summers with our children. Take time to make memories, whether it's a big family adventure or something as simple as baking cookies, having a lemonade stand, playing at the park, or building tents and enjoying a movie night at home. Those little moments often become the memories they cherish most.
While I hope you're soaking up every minute of summer, we're also excited to welcome our Huskies back in just a little over a month! We have an amazing school year ahead, and we can't wait to see everyone. Be sure to read through this newsletter, as it contains a few important upcoming deadlines and timely reminders you won't want to miss.
I hope you enjoy this silly video below. As I sit in a quiet, empty building, Iβm reminded of just how much joy, energy, and life our Huskies bring each day. Their laughter, smiles and pure joy are what make this school so special, and I miss the buzz they create!

School Calendar 26-27
See below for this year's calendar. Please note the dates of long weekends. When planning travel for your family, we encourage you to plan around days school are in session. Regular attendance is crucial for your child's success in school. Each day of learning builds on the previous one, and missing school means missing out on valuable lessons and activities. Being present daily helps students stay engaged, keeps them on track with their peers, and fosters a sense of responsibility and commitment. Let's work together to ensure your child makes the most of their educational experience by attending school every day. Thank you for your support!

As we wrap up the school year, students will be bringing their Smart Tags home with them for the summer. At the beginning of the 2026β2027 school year, all students will receive a new Smart Tag, lanyard, and plastic sleeve from the district. However, the Smart Tags currently attached to backpacks will still remain active and can be kept as a helpful βbackupβ in case your child loses their new one next year.
