Global Play Day

This year we are excited to participate in Global School Play Day! The first Wednesday of February each year is dedicated to letting children "explore their creativity, problem-solving skills, and social interactions in an unstructured and spontaneous environment." from globalschoolplayday.com/about

On February 7th, we invite each student to bring in one play item from home. Please note that items must fit in the backpack and be non-electronic (no batteries!). Examples of great items include stuffed animals or dolls, board games, or building toys. We ask that you please not send in any item that may be irreplaceable or hold sentimental value. Students (and teachers) will spend the day engaged in creative and collaborative play schemes.

Hip Hip Horray! It's the 100th Day for Kindergarten!

Kindergarten students will be celebrating our 100th day of school on Thursday, February 8th (if there are no snow days!) We will be doing many different activities around the number 100.

Please help your child decorate a T-shirt to wear to school. Use your imagination (or Pinterest) to come up with ideas! The t-shirt should contain 100 “items” or represent 100 in some form (no food items or latex balloons please). It is good practice for your child to help count out 100 things.

Some items to decorate with: permanent (or washable) markers, buttons, feathers, stickers, beads, ribbon, letters, numbers, pom-poms, handprints, etc. We cannot wait to see your creative t-shirts!
