Welcome to our Panther Tales "Mini". We will be back next week with a full-sized Panther Tales. If you did not read Last Week's Panther Tales, you can find more detailed information about these reminders by clicking HERE.

We will celebrate all students who made first semester Honor Roll (All As or As and Bs) during school on Friday. Students will receive a special award and a treat! Thank you to those who signed up to volunteer for our celebration, all slots are full at this time.

All 8th Grade students should return their permission slip to their Home Room Teachers. The requested donation for the field trips is $100 per student paid using Online School Payments "OSP" by clicking HERE. If you are only able to make a partial payment, or are willing to sponsor a portion of another student's cost, you can do so by clicking HERE . If you need to pay with cash, please have your student bring cash payments to their homeroom teacher.

All students will take the WriteScore assessment Monday, February 3rd. While iReady gives us a glimpse into Georgia Milestones for Reading, WriteScore can help us specifically with Writing. Our school will go into “test mode” in the morning while students take the WriteScore. They will be given 2 passages to read followed by 3 multiple-choice questions, 1 short constructed-response, and 1 extended writing task (Informational / Expository Essay). Students will have 90 minutes plus 45 for those with extended time. Please make sure students are well-rested and on-time Monday morning with fully charged laptops. WriteScore is not used as a grade, but rather an instructional tool to help students improve their writing prior to taking the Milestones. Soccer is available to all girls in grades 6th through 8th who turned in a completed physical before the deadline. Please check the Athletics Activities page for the remaining dates of Soccer Tryouts!

Students can send a box of Smarties Conversation Heart treats to their friends or teachers. Each Candygram is $1- Cash only please! This fundraiser benefits our 8th grade programming, including the 8th grade dance. Sign up to help with sales and delivery HERE.

Mark your calendar! This presentation is packed full of useful information for any parents of rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders.

Track is available only to 7th and 8th Graders. Track tryouts will begin on February 19th. Please check the Athletics Schedule page for the remaining dates of Track Tryouts. In order to try out, students must have turned in a completed physical packet before the January 13th deadline.

Our PBIS Fun Friday and Rewards Distribution has been postponed until February 21st. Be on the lookout in future newsletters for volunteer opportunities!
