WMS Connections Program

Great job 8th grade for organizing and hosting this event! It was a great time for all!

This is how the 8th graders felt the event went:

"I think I was kinda successful in organizing this event"

"I was there because I wanted to have fun and eat pizza and dance with everybody. And then I was thinking I was thinking of the first DJ with Mr. Donato and then the second DJ."

"I felt it was great of me serving pizza first and then doing the DJ thing."

"I like liked how I was the server."

We live in New England, and whether we love them or hate them, snow days may be just around the corner. As such, please review the information contained in this section regarding school closure protocols. State law requires 180 days of instruction and also requires that any school closures (“snow days”) be made up before June 30. Connections would like to give an overall shout-out to our three seventh-grade students. These three individuals have been rocking it, crushing it, and have been just delightful to work with! Of course, we are very proud of all our students and their many accomplishments, but these three students have made colossal individual growth that deserves to be recognized.

The MCAS testing schedule has been set. Please add these dates to your calendar. We have also scheduled an infrastructure trial, which will also give students a chance to practice navigating the MCAS platform including using the calculator for math.

• ELA: Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13
• MATH: Monday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 16
• SCIENCE (Gr 8): Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24

• February 9: Quarter 2 Report Cards mailed home

• February 20-24: February Recess - NO SCHOOL

• March 8: Quarter 3 Progress Reports reminder emailed home
• March 10: MCAS Infrastructure Trial, special schedule

• March 15: Early Release PD Day

• April 12-13: ELA MCAS, special schedule
• May 15-16: Math MCAS, special schedule
• May 23-24: STE MCAS (8th grade only), special schedule
