We have had an eventful week back to school from Fall Break. From the World's Chocolate Bar Fundraiser Kick-off, the Title I World Culture Family Engagement Night, the start of our After-School Tutoring Program, to our Picnic and Play Reading Goal celebration--this week has been jam-packed with fun events celebrating our students. Thank you for your support!
Please read further in our newsletter to find information about some upcoming events at SA for the month of November.
Keep in mind that our school offices do not open until 7:00 a.m. each day. Students who are participating in clubs and other activities cannot be dropped off until that time. Thanks for your understanding.
Let's continue to make each week great!

Red Ribbon Week Pledging a Drug-free Life!
Next week is Red Ribbon Week! We will be reminding students the importance of leading a drug-free life! It is so very important to continue this very conversation at home; show your support in this cause by signing the National Drug Free Pledge. We will honor Red Ribbon Week as a school by having daily announcements, playing some trivia in Cardinal Academy, signing the drug-free pledge to display in our hallways, holding a virtual door decorating contest, and dressing the part with some theme days!
Take a look at the plan for simple theme days for next week on the graphic below. Remember - DRESS CODE BOTTOMS ARE EXPECTED FOR THESE THEME DAYS. Students, if you'd like to participate in the theme day, remember:
- Monday 10/26- wear a shirt (a polo or a plain shirt w/ no hood) in your Academy Team color with your dress code bottoms! Ambition = GREEN, Excellence = BLUE, Integrity = YELLOW, Loyalty = PURPLE, Noble = ORANGE, and Respect = RED!
- Tuesday 10/27- wear your favorite hat to school with your regular school uniform!
- Wednesday 10/28 - wear a red polo or plain shirt with no hood with your regular dress code pants!
- Thursday 10/29 - wear silly / wacky socks to school with your regular school uniform!
- Friday 10/30 - wear a Cardinal Spirit shirt with your regular dress code pants!
