A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this yearβs Fall Fest such a wonderful success. Weβre grateful to our amazing parent volunteers, generous donors, wonderful teachers who participated in the Cake Walk, dedicated Beta students, and all the families and visitors who came out to join the fun and support our school.
A special shoutout to our incredible co-chairsβSonia Bobula, Aeshwarya Chaturvedi, Sarika Gore, Suchi Chomal, Nicole Burns, and Yessel Diazβfor their countless hours of planning, dedication, and hard work in bringing this event to life. And an extra special thanks goes out to Emily Pence and her family for providing the wonderful hayride, which was such a fantastic addition to this yearβs festivities.

Help Fuel Our Griffins
We are still in need of nut-free breakfast or granola bars for students who arrive too late for cafeteria breakfast and may not have had a chance to eat at home. Donations can be dropped off at the front office. Please keep in mind that bars should not be overly sweet and must be NUT-FREE to help keep our students with food allergies safe.
β Bonus points: Bars made in a dedicated nut-free facility are especially appreciated!

From the Sterling School Counseling Team
Our November edition of Counselor Connect is here! This month, our counseling lessons will focus on friendship and helping students develop the confidence and skills to be upstanders when others need support. Families will also find simple conversation starters and activities to reinforce kindness, empathy, and inclusion at home, along with important middle school updates. Click below to learn more!
LEAD THE CHANGE: TEAM UP TO MAKE AN IMPACT!
Weβve SEEN the need. Weβve learned to FEEL empathy. Weβve used our voices to SAY something. Now itβs time to DO something and LEAD THE CHANGE!
This week, Sterling is coming together as one team with a simple challenge: TEAM UP. MAKE AN IMPACT. Wear your team colors on Friday.
Our students and staff will be looking for ways to include, encourage, help, and connect with others.
β Class MVU β Most Valuable Upstander: Each teacher will recognize one student who consistently demonstrates what it means to be an upstander by including, encouraging, helping, or speaking up for others.
π HUDDLE MOMENTS: Classes will team up with another classroom, grade level, or staff member to create intentional moments of connection, kindness, encouragement, or help. Every Huddle Moment is a chance to show that weβre stronger when we look out for one another.
π UPSTANDER TEAM CHAMPIONS: At the end of the week, every classroom that participates by submitting Huddle Moments will be celebrated!
Because making a difference doesnβt always require a big gesture. Sometimes it starts with simply asking, βHow can I help?β
One person can make a difference.
One class can make a difference.
One team can make a BIG difference.
Sterling, letβs get in the huddle and LEAD THE CHANGE!

Sterling School Earns "Excellent" Ratings... AGAIN!
We are thrilled to announce that Sterling School has once again achieved an "EXCELLENT" rating for BOTH our elementary and middle school grades on the South Carolina Department of Educationβs annual state report card! This marks the SIXTH consecutive year that our school has received this top distinction for both levels, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and community.
The annual report cards assess a range of factors, including academic achievement, student progress, college and career readiness, and school climate. Schools across South Carolina are rated as excellent, good, average, below average, or unsatisfactory. The ratings are determined by test scores, surveys, and additional data on areas such as English Learners' progress, student safety, and financial information.
For more detailed information on Sterlingβs performance and to view report cards for schools across the state, visit screportcards.com. You can also view our specific reports by clicking the links below:
This achievement is truly something for our entire school community to celebrate! Together, we are ensuring that every student reaches their fullest potential. Thank you for your continued support of our wonderful school! #WholeChild #EveryDaysAnAdventure
