Eden Elementary Celebrates our Veterans Eden Elementary Celebrates our Veterans

Eden Elementary came together to proudly celebrate our veterans during the annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly. The day began with a delicious breakfast for our honored guests, followed by a heartfelt hallway clap out where students lined the corridors to show their appreciation.

During the assembly, each branch of the military was recognized. Veterans were invited to stand as their branch was called, allowing students and staff to express their gratitude. Students viewed a short video about the history of Veterans Day to help them better understand the significance of this national observance. They also learned about the Missing Man Table and the powerful symbolism behind each item placed upon it.

To close the assembly, students performed a special song they practiced in music class with Mrs. Bosacki. Their voices filled the room with pride, respect, and gratitude.

A sincere thank you goes to Mr. Walker for organizing this meaningful event each year, as well as to the volunteers who helped decorate and prepare food. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and especially to our veterans for their service, dedication, and sacrifices for our country.

The Middle/High School kicked off its first Just Say Hello event of the school year last week, and the turnout was fantastic! Students and teachers gathered after school to share lemonade, cookies, and great conversation in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

The goal of Just Say Hello is to encourage connection and kindness throughout the school community. Whether it’s meeting someone new, catching up with a friend, or simply sharing a smile, these small moments help create a positive atmosphere where everyone feels included.

It was a sweet and simple way to remind everyone that a friendly “hello” can go a long way — and the perfect start to another great year together!

Last week, Eden Elementary held its annual Turkey Trot, and it was a huge success! Students, teachers, and families came together to celebrate fitness, fun, and school spirit. The chilly fall morning didn’t stop our runners; everyone gave their best effort as they ran, jogged, and walked around the course.

Every participant crossed the finish line with a smile and earned a well-deserved medal.

A big thank-you goes out to our volunteers, staff, and families who helped organize and cheer on the students.

The Turkey Trot has always been one of Eden Elementary’s favorite traditions, and this year’s event was no exception.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s trot, gobble, gobble!

The National Honor Society recognizes students who exemplify exceptional leadership, character, scholarship, and service. On October 15, Eden Central School District proudly welcomed two new members into its chapter: Gia Lenz and Jacob Zittel.

These outstanding seniors have consistently demonstrated excellence both in and out of the classroom, setting a strong example for their peers and contributing positively to the Eden community. With their induction, Eden’s National Honor Society chapter now includes 20 dedicated members who continue to uphold the organization’s core values through academic achievement and meaningful service.

Congratulations to Gia and Jacob on this well-deserved honor!

A Message from The Superintendent A Message from The Superintendent

Dear Eden School Community,

As the fall season settles in, we are surrounded by reminders of change and renewal. The shifting colors, cooler mornings, and steady rhythm of the school year offer a moment to pause and reflect on all that we have accomplished together so far. It is also a time to look ahead with purpose and optimism.

Across our district, students and staff continue to demonstrate the qualities that make Eden such a remarkable place to learn and grow. Our classrooms are filled with curiosity and collaboration, our extracurricular programs are thriving, and our schools remain grounded in a shared commitment to excellence. These collective efforts by students, teachers, support staff, and families create the strong foundation that defines our community.

This season also serves as a reminder of the importance of balance. Just as nature finds its rhythm in change, so too must we find ours amid the demands of daily life. As we continue to pursue academic growth and personal development, we will also maintain our focus on wellness, empathy, and connection. Supporting one another remains at the heart of who we are as a district.

As we move through the coming months, I encourage everyone to take pride in what we have achieved and to remain engaged in the many opportunities ahead. Together, we will continue to build on the strong traditions that make Eden a district of excellence and a community of care.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support of our students and schools.

Cordially,
Jeff

In Mrs. Karalus's 1st grade class, the students tested their knowledge of math facts by creating their own fact family house!

They wrote the number family in the roof and the related facts inside the house. Then they got to add their house to our Fact Family Town and decorate it with their own creative details. What an awesome activity and a great way to bring math to life!
