Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great holiday season with some much needed time off and relaxation. We are very excited to start our second half of the school year. December wrapped up with some exciting events that we had here at school. Our 4th grade CAN-structions were a big hit, thank you to everyone who donated cans for our 4th graders and the community. We had a lot of kindergarten craft days that were a big hit for our students and parents. We ended the week before break with the Zoneton Fire Department making a visit with the Grinchmas Truck!

As always, we appreciate your feedback and ideas to help our school serve you everyday. Our staff also loves the shoutouts

Morning Car Rider

Morning drop-off begins at 8:30, students need to stay in cars until 8:30 when a staff member opens the front doors to the school. Please all the way forward to the staff member so we can get as many students in the building safely and in a timely manner. The front doors will close at 9:00. If you drop off after 9:00, you have to sign your student(s) in at the front office. Breakfast is served from 8:30-8:55 to allow for staff members to being their mornings at 9:00. If your child intends to have breakfast, please have them here before 8:55.

Afternoon Car Rider

Afternoon dismissal will begin at 3:40. Please display your tag in your windshield. Once your child is in your car, please remove the tag. This lets those working the line know if someone did not make it out to the car. Our goals are always safety and efficiency. However, sometimes students don’t hear their name or just get distracted.

Happy New Year! Time sure is flying by this school year! The classroom guidance topic for this month is friendship and conflict resolution strategies. Encourage your student to share with you ways they can resolve conflict with their peers.

If your student is in our English Language Learners Program, we will start ACCESS testing on January 17th. The test consists of 4 parts, all taken on different days. Students will be tested on their listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills.

January Lunch

We are excited to open our breakfast to parent/guardians for the months of January and February! Due to the number of students that we have, we are not able to open up the cafeteria to parents/guardians during lunch time. But we have developed a plan that allows you the chance to have breakfast with your child. As we roll the plan out, we're going to do one grade level and one day a week at a time, we hope to open this up to more days a week as well. Our current schedule is:

5th Grade- January 17

4th Grade- January 24

3rd Grade- January 31

2nd Grade- February 7

1st Grade February 14

Kindergarten- February 21

Preschool- February 26 & February 28

Please complete the Google Form for the Grade Level that you are planning to attend so that our cafeteria staff can prepare the correct amount of food. Breakfast runs from 8:30-9:00, please make sure you have your ID ready when you sign into the office. For the safety of all of our students, walking students to their classroom after breakfast is not permitted.

Thank you for your patience as we get this process rolling and continue to expand it to other days of the week as well.
