Parkview EEC Staff Shining Star Award ⭐ Parkview EEC Staff Shining Star Award ⭐

Staff Shining Star Award Winner Mandy Schwarz

Congratulations to Mandy Schwarz who was named the Staff Shining Star Award winner for the Parkview Early Education Center for the month of September.

Nomination Description

This month the EEC would like to recognize Mandy Schwarz as the Staff Shining Star!

Mandy is the true definition of a shining star! She may have only been here for a year, but she has made a huge impact at the EEC! Her bright smile and outgoing personality, brings a welcoming and friendly light to our building, families and students in her classroom and anyone who walks through the EEC doors! She quietly notices others when needed and works to brighten their days by leaving them an encouraging note or a favorite treat as well as cheering alongside them when they accomplish goals.

This summer Mandy was asked to move up to a preschool room from her toddler classroom. She took the initiative to make the space her own and had to pivot quickly when a last minute room change occurred and did so gracefully and unphased. The unique opportunity this summer to move up with her toddlers to a preschool room allowed her to seamlessly transition her students' experiences and provide fun activities with learning built in, like making lemonade or planting seeds to see what happens.

Mandy is working toward her CDA, a professional accomplishment, by taking classes on her own time. She asks questions of her peers to grow her knowledge and expand her students' experiences in fun and engaging ways. She puts those answers to work regularly showing her peers that their experience and knowledge is valued.

This year she has stepped up to help co-chair the EEC social committee to plan fun events and activities to bring the staff together inside the building and out! Together with her co-chair they created a staff questionnaire, organized a staff night out and potlucks already this year, with more activities to come.

Our building is a better place with Mandy! Thank you for being a shining star at the EEC!

EEC Childcare/Preschool Waiting List EEC Childcare/Preschool Waiting List

If you have younger children you hope will attend the EEC in the future, we strongly encourage you to join our waiting list now. Our program fills quickly, and the waitlist is often quite long. Each spring, we hear from families hoping to enroll a younger sibling, only to find that spaces are already full. To ensure your child has the best chance of securing a spot, we recommend adding them to the waiting list as early as possible.

To add a younger family member to the waiting list, please click here.
