Reidville Elementary School-----August 16, 2025
Message from Dr. Rose
Parents-
What a magical first week it has been at Reidville Elementary School! From the moment your student walked through our doors, the building was filled with the joy, energy, and excitement that only students can bring. Just like in a Disney story, our adventure began with a few tiny hiccups, but together we navigated them with teamwork, patience, and a sprinkle of pixie dust—making sure every student made it home safely and efficiently.
Our students have been nothing short of amazing as they’ve learned rules, routines, and procedures. They are already showing us that they’re ready to shine, explore, and grow this year. It truly feels like we’re living in “The Happiest School on Earth.”
Thank you for sharing your student (s) with us and for being such an important part of our school family. We can’t wait to see how the rest of this year’s adventure unfolds—because with this group of students, we know it will be nothing short of magical!
Here’s to a year filled with curiosity, laughter, learning, and a little bit of Disney sparkle in every day. Together, we will make sure our students know that, in the words of Walt Disney himself, “If you can dream it, you can do it.”
Serving Proudly in Education,
Meredith Rose
Principal

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
Led by our music teacher, Mrs. Smith, each year a group of very committed staff members produce a school musical. The cast and crew are made up of students in 4th and 5th grade. We are gearing up for auditions and practices soon.
All green and pink forms are due to Mrs. Smith by Aug. 19. Please let her know (liz.smith@spart5.net) if you haven’t received a form yet. Auditions will be Aug 26 and 28 the for all students trying out for major or minor roles.
First rehearsal is Sept. 4 for all cast and stage crew until 5:00. There is a mandatory parent meeting at 5:00 in the cafeteria following rehearsal. Students will be bringing home “applications to be filled out” by Monday Aug. 25.
CAR LINE
Please remember that the carline closes at 7:25AM each morning. This gives all students in the line to be in class by 7:30AM when instruction begins. Those arriving after 7:25AM will need to be signed in in the front office.

Please send in your $10 student fee for field trip shirt very soon.
EARLY DISMISSAL
For the safety and supervision of all students, any early dismissals must be completed by 1:45 PM. If your child has an appointment, please ensure they are signed out through the office before this time. After 1:45 PM, we will not be able to accommodate early dismissals. Additionally, students are not allowed to wait in the office for an early dismissal. Students will be called upon the parent arrival in the front office.
CHANGES TO TRANSPORTATION
We understand that from time to time a student’s method of transportation may need to change due to unexpected circumstances. While it is always best for these changes to be communicated in writing, we know that is not always possible. If you need to call the school to make a transportation change, please do so before 1:00 p.m. each day. This deadline is essential for the safety and security of our students, allowing us to ensure that all staff and bus drivers are informed and that students are safely sent home according to your updated instructions.

PARENTS EATING LUNCH
We love when our parents join students for lunch. We do ask that we begin that in one other week as we establish our rules, routines and procedures.
