    Holiday Concert

Our Holiday Concert is Monday, December 9th at 7 pm in the DHS Auditorium. All band students are performing at this concert. Color guard will not be performing this year because of how late the state marching contest was this year. All band students will need to stay after school for rehearsal the day of the concert. We are feeding all band and color guard students before the concert.

We will be wearing dress pants and school appropriate tacky holiday sweaters. Students who do not wish to wear a tacky holiday sweater may wear business casual attire – dress pants and a collared shirt or a dress that covers the shoulders and goes past the knee when sitting down. No open toed shoes.

    Spring Semester Band Auditions

All winds will be auditioning for band and chair placement for the spring semester during class starting December 10th.

    Region Band Clinic and Concert

Congratulation to all the students who earned a chair in the ATSSB Region 12 Bands. We had 13 more students make the band than last year for a total of 63 students making the bands. Woohoo!

The Region Band Clinic and Concert is Monday, December 16th at Davenport HS. Students will wear school issued concert uniforms - tuxes/dresses. Students will be out of class all day. More info will be in next weekend's newsletter.

Students who advanced to Area will be traveling to Corpus Christi January 10-11 for an opportunity to earn a spot in the prestigious All-State Band. More info on Area will also be in next weekend's newsletter.

    Butter Braid Fundraiser

We crushed our Butter Braid fundraising goal by raising an estimated $3,195. Our goal was $2,500. Thank you to everyone who made the fundraiser a huge success!

Student Leadership Team Marching Band Recognition at School Board Meeting

The marching band is being recognized for earning a bronze medal at the UIL State Marching Contest. We would like all Student Leadership Team members to be present wearing their medals. We will dress up for this recognition.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, in the Boardroom of the Support Services Building, 1404 IH 35 North, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Please arrive by 5:45 p.m. to check in.

Additionally, we will be taking photos of participants after each recognition. Please stay for the photo, which will be used on our website and social media.
