Weekly Update

This week flew by as we celebrated the end of the school year with a variety of exciting activities! On Tuesday afternoon, we held our annual Color Run, which—true to tradition—was a huge success. Students enjoyed the beautiful weather while making lasting memories with friends and staff. Be sure to check out the photos below!

Wednesday brought a fun surprise with a secret Staff Dress Down Day, featuring plenty of jorts and beach-inspired outfits that added to the lighthearted spirit of the week.

On Thursday, our 6th and 7th grade students took part in Field Day, competing in a variety of events as the Green Team faced off against the White Team. It was a fantastic day filled with energy and teamwork. A special thank you to Mr. Bech, Miss Mack, and Mrs. Schmidt for their hard work in planning and organizing such a memorable event!

Thursday also marked our final Maker Space event of the year. Mrs. Scholz provided students with the opportunity to design and create their own customized water bottles—a perfect keepsake to wrap up the year.

Today, we celebrated our 8th grade class with a picnic on Poppy Yoder Field. Families joined their students for one last lunch together before they head off to high school, making for a meaningful and memorable send-off.

It’s truly been a wonderful year at South!

Just a reminder: next week includes a full day on Monday and a half-day on Tuesday. Summer is almost here!
