Families that Read Together, Read Forever đź’•

Dear Academy Families,

Reading is one of the most important foundations for your child’s academic success and lifelong learning. Strong reading skills support achievement in every subject, build critical thinking, and nurture creativity and curiosity.

At school, our teachers work diligently to provide engaging reading instruction and opportunities for students to explore a wide range of texts. However, the support students receive at home is just as vital. When children see reading valued and practiced regularly at home, they are more likely to develop confidence, fluency, and a genuine love for books.

We encourage you to set aside time each day for reading, talk with your child about what they are reading, and model reading whenever possible. Even a few minutes of shared reading or discussion can make a meaningful difference. Visiting the library or a bookstore together, allowing children to choose books that interest them, and celebrating reading milestones all help reinforce positive habits.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s growth. Together, we can help our students become strong and lifelong readers.

Warm regards,

Miriam Bonici

School Email Addresses

Dear Divine Wisdom Families,

As part of our Communication Initiative, we are streamlining how families connect with the school. Last week, we introduced online Back-to-School forms. This year, we are moving to Shared Email Boxes (Gmelius) to ensure messages are received, tracked, and organized. Families may still call, but email is now the preferred method of contact.

A Quick Reference list of shared emails is below and attached you can save to your phone or computer. Please include your child’s name, grade, and class number when emailing.

We are always here to help!

Mrs. M. Bonici- Principal
