AVA Family Update

February 14, 2025

AVA Family UpdateFebruary 14, 2025

Good afteroon AVA students and families,

I have several important announcements this week.

1. Seniors: I am conducting a review of performance to make sure everyone is on track on the expectations needed to graduate today. If you don't hear from me individually in the next few hours, you should consider yourself in good shape.

2. MCAS: The MCAS dates in late March are listed below for 10th graders. If you are in 10th grade, ensure you can make it to AHS on these days. I will follow up individually with students during the break.

3. Our school report card is linked in a letter attached below. We are a small school so we don't generate tons of statistically significant data, but what there is can be viewed in the attachment.

4. As per usual, student who need help moving forward in their work over vacation should email me directly. I won't check my email constantly, but will enough to ensure that kids who wish to make progress can.

The schedule for after break and community and guidance updates are below as per usual. Thank you for your time.

Seniors - FAFSA, applications, and scholarships

Collegebound AVA seniors: the college application season for Fall 2025 admissions is nearly over. If you have applied to any college, please also remember to complete the FAFSA (and create your FSA ID, parent too) by priority deadlines, which will vary by college. Last, take Feb. break to research and complete as many relevant scholarships as possible. Use free web search tools like ScholarsApp and peruse the Attleboro Foundation scholarship digital folder and the AHS Guidance Dept. scholarship webpage.

As always, please feel free to email me (nng@attleboroschools.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns. Have a safe and healthy February break!
