Principal's Message
Yesterday we welcomed future West students (5th graders) for a sneak peek into the life of a middle schooler. The 5th graders were excited and in awe walking around the building. You parents have sent us some amazing students and I enjoyed seeing the smiling faces of some of their siblings, full of energy and well behave. I understand being a parent is not easy and I believe that you are doing the best you can with these young humans! I appreciate you more than you know as well as the community you have helped create here at West. It certainly does take a village!

The student Panorama Survey window opens soon. Your student will be taking the Panorama in Homeroom. If you would like to opt your student out of participating in the Panorama you may do so here: GJPS Panorama Opt Out List

6th Grade Families
We have an upcoming project in which students will be creating a restaurant/food stand and selling items to their peers and teachers. During this project we will be highlighting the role of math in owning a business. This project will be completed in May and more information will be forthcoming.
Before we start the project, we need your help! If you are a business owner or manager we would love to hear how you use math in your business. You can share how you use math by recording a short video using the link below. Below are some guiding questions that you can refer to help film your video.
We have two options for participation, should this apply to you.
Video Link - Complete a short video explaining your business and how you use math.
You need a Google Account. If you do not have one, use your student’s Google Account.
