MTSS Leads Weekly Updates

Please reference this document for guidance on additional screening required for students who fall below the 25th percentile on the iReady Reading Diagnostic. We use the iReady Suite in MSCS.

Recently I have had several users who have not been able to exit an ILP-D because the dropdown that has been added is blank. This is correctable in prior tiles. Please see guidance from Jessica Dainty below.

If you go to the second tile where you can add members to the ILP-D team, just add people there. That drop down on the exit tile will self populate from whoever is on the ILP-D team and then you can choose someone. That should clear the error once a team member is selected from the drop down, but it will not populate unless there are people added on the team earlier in the tiles.

Please be sure that as the lead you are monitoring iReady Diagnostic completion for students. You can use the iReady Completion Report day of or review individual student Diagnostic reports for immediate review. The following day the export report will be available in iReady but also in the iReady Student Assessment Report in PowerBi.

Now is the time to "circle back" where students may have been absent. Remember that Grade 3 students need to have their data back by January 17th to be compliant for the Literacy Commitment next steps of meeting with parents of students who fall below the 65th percentile.

Written Expression Office Hours have been set up to support MTSS Leads with entering Written Expression scores for Winter Screening Window in the PowerApp. The PowerApp has been updated to receive scoring formats for the 24-25SY, but does function as it did in spring 2024 if you were a previous user. Scores must be entered for each student.

Data teams are more than a compliance measure, but more importantly are a time to bring educators together where they support the same group(s) of students. It is a powerful time where strategies that are working with students and improvement is observed, can be shared with others who also work with the same student. This can cut down on the "trial and error" time with students who may be considered hard to reach. It is also an excellent opportunity where the Intervention Provider can report back to Tier 1 teacher(s) where they can further incorporate practice opportunities to the student using small groups where it fits.
