CBE, can you believe it? STEM Night is THIS WEEK! We hope you enjoyed the long weekend and are excited to welcome everyone back for another great week at CBE!

It’s official! Our first Eagle Honor recognitions were awarded on Wednesday, celebrating one student from each class who exemplifies the strong character values of our “We Are” words. Each teacher nominated a student, and these outstanding students received recognition, a certificate, and a special Eagle Honor button, presented by Ms. Kizee, Miss Mortimer, and Coach Hines! Congratulations to all our honorees!

Miss Mortimer is back at CBE! After a temporary assignment in another building, she is thrilled to return to both Clara Barton and Kilmer Elementary Schools. As an Administrative Intern, Miss Mortimer’s role closely mirrors that of an Assistant Principal. She supports students and staff in many areas, including curriculum and instructional leadership, peer interactions, discipline, social-emotional learning, and more. Miss Mortimer will be splitting her time between both elementary schools, bringing her expertise and enthusiasm to each.

At Clara Barton Elementary, we take careful precautions to ensure a smooth and safe flow of traffic during arrival and dismissal times, and we *need your support* to keep it that way.

Please remember to:

- Adhere to the speed limit in our parking lot.

- Avoid parking on the grass or double parking at dismissal.

- *Do not block crosswalks*—this is critical for the safety of our students.

Blocking crosswalks has been an ongoing issue in the neighborhood around Barton, and the Cherry Hill Police Department (CHPD) has been contacted to help address this. Parking in crosswalks is *extremely dangerous*; our children need clear, safe pathways to cross.

Finally, please respect our traffic safety team members as they work hard to keep everyone safe. Thank you for helping us create a safe environment for all!

We invite you to a 45-minute virtual Parent University information session on Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB). We will discuss the harassment, intimidation, & bullying definition, ways to report HIB, investigation process, appeal process, and resources.

Sessions will be held at 6:00 PM on:

• October 17, 2024
• October 18, 2024
• October 24, 2024
• November 19, 2024

Limited spots are available. Be sure to click on this link and register for your preferred date. All information sessions will be the same, so parents/guardians do not need to attend multiple sessions.
