A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTO

Thank you to all the families and teachers that came out and boogied Friday night. What a great turn out!

We're looking for parents who want to make a difference in our school community!

Our PTO and Site-Based Decision Making Council are seeking nominations for the upcoming year. It's just one meeting a month, and you'll help support fun family events, school activities, and important decisions that impact our students. Whether you have lots of time or just a little, your voice and ideas matter! Join us in making our school an even better place for our kids! Please send the position you would like to run for, and a small information piece about yourself so that you can be added to the ballot, to HeartlandPTO.board@gmail.com. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out via email or phone 270-268-2443

Greetings from the Principal

HELLO Bulldog families!

It was great to see all of our Heartland families on Friday night. We appreciate you coming out to boogie and hope you had a great time!

IT IS THAT TIME!!! 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will begin their KSA testing this Thursday. We are so VERY PROUD of their efforts on iReady and know they will do the same awesome job on KSA. Please do all that you can to make sure students are at school and on time (7:30AM) during the KSA window. In addition, please try to schedule any necessary appointments after 11AM. Your help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Kindergarten and first grade will start their iReady testing next week, the week of May 3rd. Your child's teacher will reach out with more information.

With all that is going on these last few days/weeks, it is very important that students be at school. Of course we will be testing, but we will continue to teach students concepts and skills they need for their next grade level. In addition, we have some fun end of the year events planned that we want all students to be able to participate in.

Make sure you check out the dates below regarding end of the year information. Some of the dates are subject to revision. We will update you through this newsletter as well as the APP as the school year winds down.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Respectfully,

Emily Campbell

Principal
