Dear Wildcat Families,

What a great week it has been at Stevenson! It has been wonderful seeing so many of our students joining in on the different dress-up days and bringing so much school spirit to campus. Please continue to encourage your child to be part of the fun! We have more exciting activities coming up, including Red Ribbon Week, and I hope to see our Wildcats participating and showing their school spirit.

It looks like the rainy weather is starting to make its appearance! Please stay tuned to the NISD website for any alerts or updates regarding inclement weather. If we are in school and there are changes to scheduled events or activities because of the weather, we will always send out a call-out with the most current information. We want to make sure our families have the information they need to plan accordingly. We did receive information from NISD about the cross-country meet tomorrow. "Due to the current course conditions for competition, we have decided to cancel tomorrow's cross-country meet."

Can you believe we are already approaching the end of our first 9-week grading period? Next week is the final week of the grading period. This is a great time to check your child’s Student Portal and make sure they have completed all necessary assignments, corrections, and retests before the grading period comes to an end. Please reach out to the teacher directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Today, our Stevenson students and staff came together to sign our Declaration of Respect, making a commitment to respect themselves and others. What a powerful reminder that the way we treat one another matters. We are proud of our Wildcats for helping create a campus where everyone feels valued, respected, and included.

As we wrap up our first 9 weeks, we are also getting ready for our second Success Assembly for all students in the upcoming 9-week period. Our students have worked hard, grown, and accomplished so much during these first nine weeks, and we want to take time to celebrate their success!

Our goal is to keep that momentum going. We want our students to recognize their accomplishments, be proud of their progress, and continue working toward being the very best version of themselves.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our students and our school. Together, we will continue helping every student grow in confidence, curiosity, and capability.

NISD will host clinics on Saturday, October 3rd at Gus Stadium and Saturday, October 10th at Farris Athletic Complex. Both are scheduled from 8 am-12 Noon.

• Shots are completely FREE.

• Open to everyone 6 months and older.

• Please note: Only Flu vaccines will be available (no COVID shots).
