LETTER FROM DR. FOUCHE

Dear Frisco ISD PTA Members,

It has been a fantastic start to the new school year! I have enjoyed visiting campuses across our district and seeing firsthand the learning happening in our classrooms. Our momentum continues to build with significant achievements and expanded opportunities:

Another ‘A’: Frisco ISD remains the largest A-rated school district in Texas. We are incredibly proud of our students and remain dedicated to ensuring every child receives the individualized support they need to thrive.
More ways to learn: We have increased Access Frisco enrollment and tuition-based pre-K options, giving our youngest learners a strong foundation. Additionally, we launched Frisco Flex, our new virtual school designed to offer flexible, innovative pathways for learning.

Looking ahead, we are committed to maintaining the high standard of excellence our community expects while preparing for the evolving needs in Frisco ISD. Over the past year, we have shared updates on the District’s Sustainability Plan, our long-term roadmap to ensure we remain financially sustainable, agile, and future-ready. As part of this ongoing commitment, District leaders are beginning to evaluate and build a May 2027 bond program to address long-term facility and infrastructure needs.

By 2027, 35 FISD schools will reach or exceed 20 years of service.
By 2032, an additional 19 campuses will reach the 20-year milestone.

Maintaining aging facilities and updating technology require proactive planning. Community input will play a vital role in shaping the bond package, and I strongly encourage you to stay engaged. It’s by working together that Frisco ISD can responsibly adapt to changing enrollment trends while prioritizing student programs and opportunities.

LETTER FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT

Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!

It is hard to believe that we are already several weeks into a brand-new school year! The beginning of a school year always seems to arrive at full speed—filled with new faces, new opportunities, long to-do lists, and countless volunteers working behind the scenes to make a difference for students and families across Frisco ISD.

As I look across all of our PTAs, I am continually reminded of what makes Frisco PTA so special: Together We Make a Difference. Each local PTA brings its own unique personality, ideas, volunteers, and passion to its campus. But when we come together—PTAs, schools, families, volunteers, community partners, and the Frisco community—we create something even more powerful: a community united in supporting our kids and helping them thrive.

This year, our Council Board is excited to continue building connections, supporting our local PTAs, celebrating our volunteers, and creating opportunities for our members and students. Our goal is simple: to make sure you never feel like you are doing this alone. Whether you are a longtime PTA leader, a brand-new volunteer, or simply a parent who wants to make a difference, there is a place for you in this PTA family.

Membership Matters

One of the most powerful things we can do together is grow our membership. PTA membership is more than a number—it represents parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, community members, and advocates who believe in supporting children and strengthening our schools.

The more members we have, the larger our collective voice becomes. Your membership helps us advocate for all students and families, support our local PTAs, and continue the work that makes a difference throughout Frisco ISD.

If you have not yet joined your local PTA for the 2026–2027 school year, we hope you will consider doing so. And if you are already a member, thank you! We would love for you to invite someone else to join you. Every member matters, and every voice makes us stronger.

Making a Difference Beyond the Campus

Another incredible example of the impact we can make together is Frisco Threads, our student clothing closet. Since its launch in 2021, Frisco Threads has grown into an invaluable resource for students and families across our district. Through the generosity of our PTAs, volunteers, donors, and community partners, Frisco Threads helps ensure that students have access to clothing and essentials they need to feel confident, comfortable, and ready to learn.

It is a beautiful example of how PTA can extend beyond our individual campuses and make a meaningful difference across our entire district. And that is really what PTA is about. It is about Connection. Advocacy. Service. Belonging. And making sure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

As we begin another school year, I hope you will take a moment to celebrate the incredible work happening on your campus. Celebrate the volunteer who stayed late. The teacher who said yes to one more thing. The parent who showed up for the first time. The PTA leader who is figuring it out as they go. The community partner who stepped up. Every one of those contributions matters.

Thank you for being part of the Frisco PTA family and for believing that, together, we can make a difference for children and families throughout our community.

CELEBRATING A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH!

A Weekend of Learning, Connection, & Celebration

In July, we had the opportunity to attend Launch, a Texas PTA conference, and what a wonderful weekend it was!

We were thrilled to welcome 104 attendees representing our local PTAs. It was inspiring to see so many dedicated PTA volunteers come together to learn, exchange ideas, build connections, and strengthen our shared commitment to supporting every child and family in our community. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the weekend such a memorable experience!

Mark your calendars for Launch 2027, taking place July 16-18 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. We can't wait to see you there!

BECOME A MEMBERSHIP SUPPORTER TODAY!

Our Membership District Initiative (MDI) is live! We're making it easy for community members and local businesses to join multiple PTAs all in one spot. This is also a great option for families with multiple students or even those that want to support their entire feeder pattern! All MDI members will be featured both on our online "Supporters Wall" and at our Council Delegate meetings throughout the year.

We currently have over 14,479 members supporting our 72 PTAs throughout Frisco ISD! Our membership goal this year is 24,470 and your contribution will help us get there. Each membership helps our community advocate for students and educators within our district.

We truly appreciate all of our members!

2026 BACK TO SCHOOL TRAINING

On Wednesday, August 26, FISD Council of PTAs held its 6th annual Back-to-School Training at Lawler Middle School. Nearly 250 PTA leaders attended the event, where they had the opportunity to learn more about their PTA roles, network with other Frisco PTA leaders, and visit with Council partners during our Partner Fair. Attendees learned about the services and products our partners offer and how they can support their PTAs.

This year, we offered three special sessions:

Cultivating Partnerships — presented by special guest Melinda Samberson, President-Elect of Texas PTA
Membership Toolkit — presented by Christie Gore, a Membership Toolkit representative
Google Workspace and Canva — a session designed to help PTA leaders learn how to use these tools to support their PTAs

A special thank-you to our Diamond Partners, CUTX, for providing dinner, and Ally Medical Emergency Room for providing dessert.

WALK & ROLL TO SCHOOL DAY - Coming Soon!

Mark your calendars! Walk & Roll to School Day is coming up on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. This nationwide event encourages students and families to celebrate healthy habits, active transportation, and safe routes to school.

FRISCO THREADS STUDENT CLOTHES CLOSET

Across Frisco ISD’s 72 schools, students and families sometimes face a need that can be easy to overlook: access to clean, appropriate clothing and basic essentials. Frisco Threads helps meet that need by providing students with clothing and essentials in a way that protects their dignity and helps them feel confident and ready to learn.

There are four simple ways your school community can help:

Volunteer With Us - We have opportunities for individuals to volunteer during sorting days and shopping days. These hands-on opportunities are a wonderful way to see the impact of Frisco Threads firsthand.

Volunteer as a PTA Team - Bring your PTA board together for a team volunteer day. It’s a meaningful way to serve together while directly supporting students in our community.
