Major's Minute

On Saturday, Celestine and I attending our first 49ers game. We were so excited to get into the Levi's stadium and be surrounded by the crowds of fans, fun music, and the most expensive hot dogs ever! Little did we know that it was going to be a journey to get into the game. First we realized that our parking was a 12 minute drive from the stadium, so we decided to pay for additional parking close by. However, if that was a bit far, so we ended up catching a ride on an electric bike carting passengers. Then we still had the far walk to the security stations, where I was told that my purse was too big to enter. I would have to check my bag at the hotel ACROSS the street! Well, guess what I had to do? You know it ... I took the important things out of my bag and threw my purse away!

Yes, by the time we got to the football game it was already half time and we didn't want to miss any more time! Also, my purse was already broken down. So, I figured, "why hold on to something okay that's going to keep my from something better?"

So, I conclude this simple Major's minute by saying, are you holding on to something that you are accustomed to? Whether it be a relationship? Sin? Time suckers? Is there anything that is keeping you from the best God has for you?

Why spend your money on something that is not real food? Why work for something that doesn’t really satisfy you? Listen closely to me, and you will eat what is good; your soul will enjoy the rich food that satisfies. - Isaiah 55: 2
