Hello Coupeville Families and Community:

What a time to be a Wolf! I have to say — when I look around this district, I see so much to be proud of, and I want to make sure our families know about all of the incredible things happening for our kids right now.

Band is back. Our high school band program has returned, and the energy and excitement around it has been wonderful to see. We hope to see students signing up for band next year. We have been working on course selections and we would love to see this offering on the rise!

$10 million investment in our buildings. Our middle and high school will see new windows, doors, and a fully updated HVAC system over the next three years. This grant, written for noise mitigation, is a major investment in the comfort, health, and learning environment of our students — and it is happening because this community deserves it.

Our community showing up. The Gala for the Schools Foundation was a tremendous success, and the Lions Club Scholarship Auction was equally outstanding. The generosity of this community never ceases to amaze me. Thank you.

Great things in the classroom. I have been working directly with teachers across the district on the Danielson Framework — a research-based approach to high-quality instruction.

Our teachers are collaborating at high levels and I am inspired every time I walk into a building. We are in the process of adopting a new high-quality reading curriculum at the elementary, robotics at the middle school, and are bringing AP and Biomedical Science curriculum forward at the high school. Our students are getting stronger materials and stronger instruction — and it shows.

Celebrating our kids. This past week and weekend our elementary students lit up the stage with The Big One-Oh! in our Performing Arts Center, and our Cultural Appreciation Night was a beautiful celebration of who we are as a community.

Coming up — mark your calendars — our middle and high school spring choir concert is March 26th. Come out and support our students!

There is so much good happening in Coupeville. I see it every day in our classrooms, our hallways, and our community. We are building something special here — together.

Go Wolves! 🐺
