Principal Message
Dear Windham Center School Families,
It has been a bitterly cold week for everyone, and I hope you have all found ways to stay warm while still enjoying your daily activities. With the continued low temperatures, we appreciate your help in ensuring students come to school dressed for the weather, including warm coats and winter clothing. While we do not go outside unless the temperature is 15 degrees or above, it is important that students are prepared in the event of an emergency where they may need protection from extreme cold. Any assistance you can provide with this is greatly appreciated.
This week, our students actively participated in the Great Kindness Challenge, spreading cheer throughout Windham Center School and the broader community. I absolutely loved the special cards that were made for me and they are proudly displayed in my office and bring me joy throughout the day. Our students and staff also did a wonderful job embracing the fun spirit days. We saw some pretty creative hairstyles and bright colors, but pajama day continues to be the fan favorite!
This weekend, our Drama Club will take the stage to perform Junie B. Jones Jr. The students have been working incredibly hard and are excited to share their talents with our school community. There will be a performance this evening at 7:00 PM and another tomorrow at 5:00 PM. It’s a great family-friendly activity and a perfect way to stay warm while supporting our students.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thank you, as always, for your continued support of Windham Center School.
Warmly,
Mrs. Martin
WCS Principal
