Transportation

As students head back to the classroom, safety on our roads is a top priority for our school community. We are partnering with the Maryland Highway Safety Office to share important reminders on keeping our children safe during their daily commute.

Bus Stops - All CCPS schools have sent bus stop information home to CCPS families for the 2026-2027 school year. If you did not receive bus stop information and you want your child/children to be transported by CCPS, please contact your school to request a stop.

WheresTheBus (Parent App) - This app utilizes GPS technology on our school buses to provide secure access for parents to know when their child’s bus will arrive at the bus stop right from their phone or computer. As the school year approaches, please sign up for the WheresTheBus parent app. Click here to learn more.

School Supplies

Elementary and Middle School Supplies

*High School supplies are dependent upon individual classes and any additional supplies needed will be communicated to students.*

Electronic Emergency Card Process

Once again, this year, we will be asking families to update their contact information using our online enrollment platform, PowerSchool Enrollment. Families will receive an email the week of August 24th with instructions for logging into or creating a PowerSchool enrollment account. Students new to CCPS this school year and who transferred from one CCPS school to another over the summer will not be included in this process, as contact information was recently collected for these students.

Important School Immunization Requirements for CCPS Families

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, Cecil County Public Schools (CCPS) reminds all families to ensure their students' immunization records are completely up to date before the first day of school.

Elementary School Requirements (Grades K–5)

Under Maryland law, all elementary students must have proof of the following standard immunizations:

  • DTaP / DTP / DT: 4–5 doses

  • Polio: 3–4 doses

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 doses

  • Varicella (Chickenpox): 2 doses

  • Hepatitis B: 3 doses

Incoming 7th Grade Families — Action Required

Maryland state law requires all students entering 7th grade to have proof of two specific updated boosters before school begins:

  • Tdap booster (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)

  • Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4)

Need an Appointment?

We recommend contacting your child’s primary care physician as soon as possible to review their records and schedule any needed shots.

If you need an alternative, the Cecil County Health Department offers required school immunizations:

  • Clinics: Immunization clinics begin in August (by appointment).

  • Schedule: Call 410-996-5100 or check the attached flyer for details.
