Greetings BCHS Bear Family,

Congratulations to Lucy Lane, who placed first in the FFA Area Floral Design competition! Lucy will represent BCHS FFA at the State Floral Design Clinic this December. Please join me in celebrating her achievement.

Dual Enrollment and Work-Based Learning Student IDs
To support student safety, all Dual Enrollment and Work-Based Learning students will be issued an ID. Beginning Monday, September 28, students may pick up their IDs in the Media Center. They will need to show their ID when checking in or out at the front kiosk. This will help us verify that students leaving campus are authorized to do so.

Bearden After-School Program
Students who would like extra help with their classes can build their skills through the Bearden After-School Program. Academic support, snacks, dinner, and transportation are provided.

  • When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 3:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Fall session: September 29–December 3

Special guest Gabrielle Poss from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will break down grants vs. loans and guide you step-by-step through the application process.

  • Date: Wednesday, October 14
  • Time: 5:30 PM
  • Location: BCHS Media Center

Important Prep:
Before arriving, both students and parents must create individual accounts at StudentAid.gov so you can complete the application during the session. See the attached flyer for full details!
