College Career Military Ready
Is your child College Career Military Ready?
CCMR is a measure that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) uses to determine if a student is prepared for post-secondary opportunities including college, the workforce, or the military.
Students have multiple pathways to demonstrate if they are College Ready, Career Ready, and/or Military Ready:
- Demonstrating success in testing.
- Demonstrating success in advanced courses.
- Demonstrating success and completion of aligned CTE Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs) and a Completion of a Program of Study (POS).
- Students with special needs who graduate with an Advanced Degree Plan or on an IEP and are Workforce Ready.
- Enlisting in the US Armed Forces.

Comprehensive Guidance Program
The Brandeis Counseling Department is dedicated to providing a comprehensive guidance and counseling program addressing the whole child to maximize academic achievement, social and emotional development, and post-secondary college and career readiness. Counselors work to provide students with programs that support the four components of the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, System Support.
Guidance Curriculum- The guidance curriculum is designed to systematically provide lessons to students that facilitate growth, development, and transferrable skills in the areas of educational, career, personal, and social development.
Responsive Services- The purpose of responsive services is to intervene on behalf of any student whose immediate personal concerns or problems put the student's continued educational, career, personal, or social development at risk. These services include individual counseling, group counseling, teacher/parent consultations, and community referrals.
Individual Planning- The purpose of individual planning is to assist students in developing and addressing academic, career, personal, and social goals. Students need opportunities to understand and monitor their own development considering their individual needs, specialized circumstances or services, and cultural implications.
System Support- The purpose of system support is to support the efforts of teachers, staff, parents, and other members of the community in promoting the educational, career, personal, and social development of students
